Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Nisbat Industries, LLC DBA ShearStore.com (“ShearStore.com”, “we” or “us”) collects when you visit or buy from shearstore.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you place an order or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, order details, and the messages you send us.

When you browse the store, our store platform automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and when you view them. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies.

Customer accounts, Shop and Shop Pay

If you create a customer account, or use Shop, Shop Pay or a similar Shopify service, Shopify may process related account, order, contact, shipping, device and payment information on our behalf to provide those services, for example to sign you in, prefill checkout, or show your order history.

Payments

Checkout and payment details are submitted directly through Shopify’s checkout and its payment providers, not through our own systems. We receive order, transaction, payment-status, and limited payment-method information (for example the card type and last few digits) so we can confirm and fulfill your order. We do not intentionally store your full payment card number in our own systems.

How we use information

• to process and ship your order, and to contact you about it
• to respond to your questions and requests
• to prevent fraud and keep the store secure
• to understand how the store is used and improve it
• to send marketing emails, only if you have signed up to receive them

How we disclose information

We do not sell personal information.

Operating a store still means some information reasonably needs to be disclosed to others so orders can be placed, paid for, shipped and supported. We disclose information to:

• Shopify, which provides our store, checkout and payment processing
• payment processors, which handle your payment
• shipping carriers, which receive your name, shipping address and phone number to deliver your order
• fraud-prevention and security services, which help protect orders and accounts
• analytics providers, which help us understand how the store is used
• email and customer-support services, which help us communicate with you
• other operational service providers the store reasonably needs to function
• authorities, when we are legally required to disclose information

Sale, sharing and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information. Some privacy laws, however, define terms like “sharing” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than a sale, and may cover certain analytics or advertising technology even when nothing is sold. If we use any technology of that kind, this section and the cookies section below apply to it, and the opt-out described in Your privacy rights applies as well.

Cookies

We and our store platform use several kinds of cookies and similar technology:

• Necessary – keep items in your cart and keep checkout secure. The store cannot function properly without these.
• Preferences and functionality – remember choices such as your country or language.

Your privacy rights

• access the personal information we hold about you
• correct inaccurate information
• delete your information
• receive a copy of your information in a portable format
• restrict or object to certain processing
• withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent
• opt out of targeted advertising or “sharing” as those terms are defined where you live
• appeal a decision we make about your request, where the law provides for an appeal
• file a complaint with a privacy regulator

Rights and how to exercise them vary by jurisdiction, not every right applies everywhere, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may need to keep some information to complete orders or meet legal obligations even after a deletion request.

International data transfers

We primarily serve customers in the United States, but the store is accessible globally and we may accept international orders where available. Shopify and our other service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these providers use legally recognized safeguards for transferring information across borders.

Security

Checkout takes place over a secure connection operated by Shopify. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Addresses

We may correct or standardize shipping addresses to match postal formats, to help your order arrive on time.
